Summer Vacation 2017

This past semester was by far the longest 16 weeks of my life... but I am finally done!

Motivation? Oh, it's on Spring Vacation!

Hey y'all,

Once again, I'm writing this post pretty late at night. It's like 11:30 PM on a Sunday night, and I barely finished my school work (like always... procrastination at it's finest right here!) *sad face*

Do you guys ever have that moment when you're SUPER tired, but you can't sleep or get yourself to do anything else, so you just sit, or in my case, lie in bed, looking through the same Instagram feed that you saw like three times already? No? Am I just the weird one? Yes? Okay, fine, don't judge me~ Or maybe there was a little too much caffeine in my black tea. I think I'm feeling palpitations D:

What Happened to YouTube?

It's a little past 12 AM here is Los Angeles, CA as I am starting to write this post. I had so many things on my to-do list today, and guess what? I didn't even complete one thing. While I am laughing at myself and my procrastination "skills," (yes, you have to be super skilled to procrastinate this much) I'm telling myself I have to finish one thing before going to sleep tonight.

It looks like many of the schools are actually starting school now, so this look will be perfect! Personally, I think this look will suit both people going back to high school or college.

Update + First Impressions on Blackhead Removal Activated Carbon Set

WOW, I don't know how long it's been since I sat down in front of a blank blog post screen. I do apologize for my absence from the blogging community. I haven't been mass producing YouTube videos either, so if it makes anyone feel a little better, my blog wasn't the only thing being neglected ;)

I have so many reviews, so many YouTube video posts to make, so *fingers crossed* hopefully, I'll be able to catch up on my blog entries soon.

Today, I'm going to introduce you to a product I've been really excited to try out. As I was browsing the different ways to remove blackheads and make pores look smaller, I happened to stumble upon StyleSuzi's video introducing this same product. It's the My Scheming Blackhead Removal Activted Carbon Set. I purchased mine off of eBay.

Puppy 101 :: BarkBox Subscription (March 2015, April 2015)

As I was getting ready to write this post, I realized that I totally forgot to post last month's BarkBox! I don't even know what happened. If you're curious to see what was in last month's box, please scroll to the bottom of this post to check out the items. I'll write a short review of that box at the end. 

Anyways, this month's BarkBox came in yesterday, which was a little later than I expected. Other months it usually comes in a day or two after the 15th, so I don't know what happened there. I'm just glad that Candy has her box for this month.  

Tutorial :: Everyday Makeup Look for Monolids

Happy Thursday everyone! If you remember my last post from 2014, I said that this year, I would like to step out of my comfort zone and maybe consider making a YouTube video. It took me 4 whole months into 2015 to get started, but I'm super excited to say, "IT'S LIVE ON YOUTUBE!"

Manicure Monday :: Bonita Nail Polish

This week, I have this awesome metallic-sliver, brown/gold color on my nails. Maybe I should have worn a pastel color since it's Spring, but the weather has been yelling Summer here in California for the past couple weeks! Maybe that's why I gravitated towards the bronze.

Anyways, this is the first time I heard about Bonita, so I did a quick Google search and found that they're a small online boutique. I absolutely have no idea what the name of this polish is though, couldn't find it online or on the actual packaging. Weird.  

I was SO surprised that this nail polish was really easy to work with! It went on so smoothly, and it's beyond perfect with just two coats. All in all, I am very impressed with this nail polish :)

Since it is finally Spring, I can finally start wearing all my pastel nail polishes... or go out and start buying more. This past week, I stopped by my local TJ Max and picked up two Essie nail polishes for under $5! This particular one was only $3.99! O___O What, what?

Many times, I go through weeks or months where I go crazy and focus on one type of beauty product.

For the longest time, I lived by this beauty quote. Honestly, no matter how many My-Lips-But-Better shades you have, no two colors are the same, they're all different! Right?

It's that time of the month again! The arrival of another Barkbox! Yaassss!

I was expecting the box to be Valentine's theme, but instead it was Mardi Gras themed. I guess it makes sense, since the box is sent on the 15th.

Product Review :: Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipsticks

Hello My Fellow Beauty Lovers,

This week, I wanted to show you the lipsticks I've been loving lately, Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipsticks. I actually had this post saved in my drafts for a really long time, but I never got around to posting it. As might as well late then never, right?

All of these lippies are part of the Lasting-Finish collections, and they are all matte colors. I started off with the 104, pinkish, my-lips-but-better (MLBB) color. It was my first time trying anything from Rimmel, and I fell in love! I literally made everyone smell the lipstick from the tube. Is that weird? No, everyone does it, right?

Puppy 101 :: New clothes for Candy

Hiii

I feel like I spend most of my days off doing a ton of online shopping these days. Does anyone else feel like that?.. no? Maybe it's just me.

Anyways, I have been doing a bit of shopping on Etsy recently, and I came across a seller by the name of AnotherSummer. She sells a variety of pet clothes and beds. I really want one of everything from her store, but I stopped myself and just bought one. I ended up buying a little dog onesie from her store.

It's a little big on Candy, especially in the back. Ended up trying to decide if she would fit better in the 14 or 16, and I ended up getting the 16. The back part slips off when she's lying down, so my mom had to roll up the back sleeves.



 

My little gangster dog :D Since she's half Chihuahua, she gets cold very easily, so she really likes wearing it around. Well, actually, she falls asleep as soon as it's on because it's so warm. I'm glad she likes it ;)

I'm posting this Mani-Monday a little later in day because I got off of work this morning and slept till about 3pm. Anyways, the nail polish I have on my nails today is Zoya's Laurie. This color is actually VERY similar to the China Glaze Innocence that I wore on my birthday. It's a very pale pink-nude color.

Talk It Out :: Reflecting on 2014

As I was staring at the white space on the "compose" page of my blog, I started thinking about topics that I could talk about. Since this will probably be my last post of 2014, I didn't want to finish with another product review or haul post. I wanted to talk about something meaningful, so I decided to reflect back on my year with my readers.

2014 was a year of accomplishments, dreams, and history. I finished my 5 years of nursing school, graduated college, passed my NCLEX, and lastly got hired at a hospital where I never imagined I would be at. On the other hand, 2014 was also a year where I was tired, lost faith, and was afraid. I was tired of the gossip, the negativity, and the untrue friendships. I found myself growing apart from church and God. And lastly, at one point, I was afraid about how my future would turn out.

Wow, this year had been somewhat of a long rollercoaster for me.
